Umganu Lodge is an idyllic retreat built on the banks of the magnificent Sabie River, providing uninterrupted vistas of the world renowned Kruger National Park. This beautiful air-conditioned lodge can accommodate up to 12 guests in 5 spacious en-suite bedrooms, each one beautifully decorated in one of Africa’s big 5 animals ~lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo. The open-plan living area is stylishly decorated with high volume ceilings, beautiful polished cement floors, and offers wifi throughout. Step outside where you will find a heated outdoor pool, sunken boma and braai area, a large viewing deck and a covered patio make it ideal for outdoor entertainment. If the weather is not suitable for outdoor dining, our kitchen is equipped with all the utensils that one would ordinarily have in your kitchen at home.

Due to Umganu being a family destination, it has a perimeter fence which is electrified to ensure that the animals do not roam into the lodge. This beautiful air-conditioned lodge can accommodate up to 12 guests in 5 spacious en-suite bedrooms, each one beautifully decorated in one of Africa’s big 5 animals ~ lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo. The lodge also has a separate room with its own private bathroom and kitchen which can be used as a pilot room or a nanny’s room.
Umganu Lodge can accommodate up to 12 guests in 5 spacious en-suite, air-conditioned bedrooms, each one beautifully decorated in one of Africa’s big 5 animals ~ lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo. The 5 suites consist of 2 standard suites, 2 twin suites and 1 master suite. All suites have a generous bathroom including a bath and a separate spacious shower along with his and her sinks. The master suite has been decorated slightly differently with copper finishes and has a large copper bath and a private outdoor heated plunge pool. Each suite steps out onto their own private patio where hours can pass sitting in one of the relaxing chairs while enjoying the sights and sounds of nature. Each suite comes equipped with a hairdryer, a safe as well as UK and S.A charging sockets.
The best way to experience the world renowned Kruger Park is with your own vehicle. A Kruger Park self-drive safari gives you the freedom to plan for your route and explore at your own pace. The closest Gate is Paul Kruger Gate a mere 6km away. There are a few ways of experiencing the vast expanse of the Kruger Park, such as walking and self-drive safaris, but for the real up close and personal experience, the open safari vehicle takes a lot of beating.
Leopard Creek is an exclusive top 100 golf course, perched on the edge of the crocodile river and is an opportunity NOT to be missed. A day would consist of a wonderful game drive through the Kruger National Park, a round of golf including a breakfast/lunch at Leopard Creek, followed by a game drive back to Umganu Lodge.
