Singita Lebombo Lodge is a celebration of cutting-edge design in an African context where everything defers to nature.
At Singita Lebombo Lodge, fifteen one-bedroom lofts are magnificently perched on the cliffs giving their guests spectacular views over the landscape and river below. Superbly built out of wood, steel and glass, they give the atmosphere of a tree-house, only fitted with all the luxury and amenities required for comfort. Many of the interior and exterior features are of organic material, which adds greatly to the remote and wilderness feel of the lodge. A contemporary style has been used for the decoration of each loft, with artistic use of slatted wood, bleached branches and glass, along with fabrics that are of natural colours and beautiful textures. Stunning wooden decks with lap pools surround the lofts. Inside each loft is a mini bar and fridge, an en-suite bathroom with a bath and indoor and outdoor shower, and air conditioning, while further facilities are available at the main lodge. These facilities include a swimming pool, gym and spa, a boutique and television. The boutique sells fascinating local artworks and rare South African wine. Nearby is also the colourful Singita Cooking School, which is a wonderful, cultural experience.
Guests will be offered full American-style breakfasts, fine wines from the Singita Cellars with every meal, a traditional afternoon tea service, game drives, opportunities to track rare wildlife species, bush walks and jogging and biking trails. The Singita Lebombo Lodge with its creatively elevated position on the mountainside is environmentally conscious, ‘touching the earth lightly’, and is named after the Lebombo Euphorbia tree – which is the inspiration behind its organic decorations. The lodge is often described as the perfect African bush experience.
