Shindzela Tented Safari Camp is situated within the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger National Park. We are a simple, comfortable and affordable South African bush camp, offering an authentic African safari experience in an unfenced, natural wilderness environment. This tented camp is the safari base for wildlife activities, game drives and walking safaris trails. All the tents are equipped with solar lighting. The camp has 8 Safari canvas style tents of which tents 1-6 have a view of the watering hole opposite camp, tents 7 & 8 are more private being furthest away from the main area and overlooks the dry river bed.
Accommodation
Shindzela is a comfortable tented bush camp, set on the banks of a dry riverbed, facing a small watering hole. We offer an authentic African safari experience in an unfenced, private and natural wilderness environment. Our Safari Tents can either be made up in twin or double bed accommodation. It is from here that Shindzela brings you an affordable wildlife safari, where you can explore the African wilderness on game drives in open 4×4 safari vehicles and on foot during our walking safari trails. Safari activities are conducted by professional and knowledgeable safari guides. The camp has an informal, relaxed atmosphere, and is alive with warm African hospitality. Shindzela offers guests a greater Kruger wildlife safari, in an unfenced wilderness environment. We make use of solar powered lights & gas geysers (for hot showers).
Activities
There are numerous advantages to enjoying a safari holiday in the well-known Timbavati Private Game Reserve, which forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park. Shindzela is situated in a private concession area within the Timbavati Private Game Reserve. This means the camp is able to offer it’s Kruger holiday guests a number of distinct advantages for their South African Safari. Shindzela Tented Safari Camp is the only safari operator in this concession area, which means guest are undisturbed by other commercial vehicles, so have unrestricted opportunity for animals sightings. Shindzela Tented Safari Camp is able to offer game drives in a Big Five Reserve. The camp is unfenced, making it very much part of the wilderness. Guests can stay out later on activities, including night drives (should we have a great sighting). The drivers are permitted to drive off road into the bush in search of predators and / or unusual sightings.
