Singita Sweni Lodge
In one of the most game-rich areas of the Kruger National Park, experience the absolute beauty of the bush in the luxury of Singita Sweni Game Lodge, a small and private retreat that gives its undivided attention to only twelve guests at a time.
The Singita Sweni Game Lodge has a beautiful location alongside the Sweni River, and therefore each of its six elegant and exclusive suites are riverside with fantastic views over the bush. Uniquely built, the suites are perched on stilts with lovely, spacious timber decks and huge floor to ceiling windows that seem to draw in the wilderness. Hundreds of lush trees alive with birdlife surround the river and the suites creating a feeling of seclusion and serenity.
Singita Boulders Lodge
Singita Boulders Lodge is set along the banks of the Sand River in Singita’s privately owned reserve within the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve. The lodge is a celebration of the tranquility, space, and light which flows throughout this incredibly vast area.
Singita Boulders Lodge has a contemporary air of tranquillity that honours Africa in an authentic way. Inspiring the name Boulders was an enormous boulder that sat right in the middle of the place where the wine cellar was to be built. A simple decision was made to build the cellar around the boulder!
Singita Ebony Lodge
Singita Sabi Sand has been owned by the Bailes family who have acted as the dedicated custodians of this precious part of South Africa’s natural heritage since 1926.
Singita Ebony Lodge stands steadfast amongst enormous trees on the banks of the Sand River in the heart of South Africa’s ‘big cat country.’ A blend of European heritage and African boldness welcomes visitors with the down-to-earth warmth of a much-loved family home. Spacious interiors are styled with a varied mix of rich colours, and inviting textures and layers, making Singita Ebony Lodge an idyllic retreat.
Singita Lebombo Lodge
Singita Lebombo Lodge is a celebration of cutting-edge design in an African context where everything defers to nature.
At Singita Lebombo Lodge, fifteen one-bedroom lofts are magnificently perched on the cliffs giving their guests spectacular views over the landscape and river below. Superbly built out of wood, steel and glass, they give the atmosphere of a tree-house, only fitted with all the luxury and amenities required for comfort. Many of the interior and exterior features are of organic material, which adds greatly to the remote and wilderness feel of the lodge.
Conservation & Wildlife
In days gone by, unspoilt wilderness on earth was found in abundance – but today it is rare, vulnerable and fragile and there is much to be done to protect these rapidly diminishing areas. Conservation lives hand-in-hand with ecotourism and community development at Singita. We believe it’s the responsible way to maintain and extend the sustainability of our wildlife reserves. Singita is the attentive guardian of over half a million acres of pristine African wilderness.
Our hands-on conservation teams on each property are committed to protecting, maintaining and enhancing the land and its fauna and flora.
Wildlife in Singita Game Reserve lives up to its international reputation. Abundant in the Big Five and myriad smaller creatures, the reserve is bisected by the Sand River, an important source of water and a consistent place of refuge on the animals’ endless migration. The lie of the land is perfectly suited to game viewing.
Groves of acacia thornveld, Marula trees and flatcrowns give way to open expanses of grassland, where zebra, antelope and wildebeest graze, ever wary of the threat of the large cats. Drainage lines and dry river beds are leopard territory, these majestic cats are often spotted poised in the fork of a tree with a good vantage of the ground below.
