The Honeyguide Honeyguide Khoka Moya Camp is a great place to stay if you are keen to explore the Manyeleti Game Reserve. This comfortable bush safari camp will astound you at its luxury, yet its simplistic design and decor allows you to maintain that feeling of adventure.
After a sound night’s rest in your tent you will awake early for a hot morning drink by a warm fire and join in the excitement before the morning game drive. The rangers of the camp will be looking forward to taking you out in their game drive vehicles to spot some of the Big Five animals, as well as many of the other types of wildlife you are likely to encounter at Manyeleti, or take you for an exhilarating bush walk. Walking is by far the loveliest way to view the quieter animals and birdlife of the reserve, yet it is such an exciting experience because you are very much ‘out in the open’, and in the territory of such amazing, and wild, creatures.
Accommodation
Don’t let the word ‘tent’ mislead your idea of the type of accommodation offered at the Khoka Moya Camp. These are luxury tents that are comfortably furnished and that can be closed up completely. The beautiful king-size beds are protected by first-class mosquito nets, and every tent has its own bathroom with double showers and separate toilet. The tents measure approximately 60 square meters, and therefore have plenty of space for a family of four. Each tent has a private outdoor seating area as well, where you can sit and take in the relaxed atmosphere of the reserve. The entire camp has just twelve tents, which means that each family or couple staying here is afforded exclusivity and personal attention.
Game Drives
Guests at Khoka Moya can look forward to game drives in the mornings and afternoons. The camp has expert game rangers who make it their goal to show you the magnificent Big Five – lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and rhino. You will also be mesmerized by many other types of animals in their natural habitat. The camp uses special 4×4 safari vehicles to travel the reserve, and you will be delighted by the information that the knowledgeable guides possess. You will need to be up early for the morning drives, but it is well worth it as the animals are more active when it is cooler. Coffee and light refreshments are offered during the drive. When you return to the camp, you will enjoy a scrumptious breakfast/brunch. The morning game drives are about three hours in duration.
